Is Your Drupal Site Still Supported?

Drupal 7 reached end of life on 5 January 2025. Drupal 8 and 9 ended in 2021 and 2023. Drupal 10 reaches end of life on 9 December 2026, and 10.6 is its final, security-only release.

In August 2026 Drupal.org counted more than 173,000 sites still on Drupal 7, and 42.8% of all Drupal sites on end-of-life versions. In Queensland we still see associations and public bodies running Drupal 8, 9 and 10.

Once a version is unsupported, new security holes are never fixed. Contributed modules stop being maintained, hosts drop old PHP versions, and the site gets harder and riskier to change every month.

Upgrade What Works,

Rebuild What Doesn’t

Drupal 7 to 10 or 11 is not a click-through upgrade. It is effectively a migration: content, users, files and taxonomy move to a new site, custom modules are rewritten and themes are rebuilt. Drupal 10 to 11 is a smaller step, but contributed modules and custom code still need checking.

We start with an audit of your modules, custom code, integrations and hosting, then give you a fixed-quote plan. We migrate content with Drupal’s migration tools, keep or redirect every URL, and test before cut-over, so members and search engines barely notice the move.

If a full migration can’t happen right away, we harden and monitor your current site while we plan it.

Engineers, Not Designers

Custom modules, migrations and integrations are software work. You deal directly with the engineers writing the code.

Security From Day One

We audit modules and custom code for known vulnerabilities before migrating them, so old problems don’t follow you onto Drupal 11.

Brisbane Based

We’re in Brisbane, on your time zone, and we know the Queensland associations and public bodies that run Drupal.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Drupal 7 stopped receiving official security fixes on 5 January 2025. Any vulnerability found since then stays open unless someone patches it privately, and attackers actively look for Drupal 7 sites.

Not as a simple upgrade. Moving from Drupal 7 means building a new Drupal 10 or 11 site and migrating content, users and files into it, with custom modules rewritten. From Drupal 10, moving to 11 is a much smaller upgrade.

They stop receiving security fixes. If you’re on Drupal 10 now, plan the move to Drupal 11 before then. It’s usually far quicker than a Drupal 7 migration.

Yes. We support Drupal and GovCMS sites for government and public-sector organisations, including upgrades, custom module reviews and accessibility work.

Sometimes. If your site no longer needs Drupal’s depth, we’ll say so and can migrate you to WordPress or a custom build. If it does, Drupal 11 is a strong, well-supported choice.
