Hackers Got Into GitLab Without a Single Password #infosec #cybersecurity #shorts

· Watch on YouTube

A major software development platform has just issued an emergency security update, and this vulnerability scores a perfect 10 out of 10 for severity. GitLab says the flaw could let attackers run malicious code on vulnerable servers without a username or password. It affects self-hosted versions dating all the way back to 2014.

Here’s why business owners should care. GitLab can hold the source code and deployment pipelines behind your company’s software. If that infrastructure is compromised, the consequences could extend far beyond a single server.

There’s no confirmed widespread exploitation of this particular flaw, but the patches are available.
